Hon. Engr. Haruna Danlami Dahiru is a public-minded leader from Anguwan Mai Godo, Jushi Waje Ward, Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Zaria, Kaduna State. Born on 1 January 1989, he is the son of Alhaji Danlami Dahiru, a retired Nigerian Army veteran whose decades of military service instilled in him the values of discipline, integrity, and unwavering commitment to public service. Growing up in a military household, he learned early the importance of sacrifice, structure, and serving something greater than oneself — values that continue to shape his approach to leadership today.
His academic journey reflects a deep commitment to understanding governance and public affairs. He holds an MPhil in Political Science, a Master's degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy, a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, and a Diploma in Civil Law — all from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria — with a PhD currently in view. His educational foundation began at Command Children's School, Ikeja, before proceeding to Government Secondary School, Chindit Barracks, Zaria, where the discipline of military community life further shaped his character.
Hon. Engr. Haruna is actively engaged with the international community as a member of the Open Government Partnership (OGP), Kaduna State Chapter, the International Studies Association, and the Oxford School of Climate Change, demonstrating his belief in transparent governance, global cooperation, and evidence-based policy making.
With professional experience spanning telecommunications, power sector management, logistics, and business administration, he currently serves as Manager at Skypa Metering Services, Kaduna Branch, where he oversees operations and leads a diverse team. Beyond his career, he is deeply rooted in his community — actively participating in local development initiatives, supporting educational causes, and mentoring young people. He stands for people-centered leadership, accountability, and development-driven governance, committed to effective representation and genuine service to the people of Sabon Gari.
